【摘要】本文从课程资源开发的角度出发，阐述了如何开发VOA Special English资源并将所开发的资源运用于高中英语阅读课的读前和读后活动中，以便为学生营造真实的语言环境，让学生接触地道的语言素材，提高语言和学习能力，培养思维品质，提升文化品格，从而提升学生的英语学科素养。

　　一、引言
　　课程资源指的是课程与教学信息的来源，或者一切有利于或有助于实施英语课程、实现课程目标、发展学生综合语言运用能力、提高教师综合素质的物质条件和包括环境、氛围等在内的其他非物质条件。积极开发和合理利用课程资源是英语课程实施的重要组成部分，也是英语新课程改革的一大亮点，越来越受到广大英语教师的重视。英语教学的特点之一是要使学生尽可能多地从不同渠道、以不同形式接触和学习英语，亲身感受和直接体验语言及语言运用。因此，在英语教学中，除了合理有效地使用教科书以外，还应该积极利用其它课程资源，特别是广播影视节目、录音、录像资料、直观教具和实物、多媒体光盘资料、各种形式的网络资源和报刊杂志等。
　　VOA Special English（以下简称VOA）又叫“慢速英语”，是VOA专为全世界非英语国家初学英语的听众安排的一种简易、规范的英语广播节目，在全世界有广泛的影响。Special English的节目可分为两大类：一类是新闻节目；一类是专题节目。其中专题类节目题材涉及社会，人文，科技，农业，生活等方方面面。其中有相当一部分的内容和我们牛津高中英语课文的话题相关。教师可以利用目前普及的Internet网络资源，下载VOA播音原稿，利用现代教育技术及相关软件对材料进行加工和剪裁，为教学所用。
　　二、开发VOA资源，辅助高中英语阅读教学案例
　　1.在高中英语阅读课读前活动中的使用。经过改编和设计的VOA材料可以作为阅读课导入的课程资源材料。
　　《牛津高中英语》Module9 Unit3 project一文是关于色彩意义的文章，笔者在教授此文时运用了 VOA题为Green：more than just a color的文章作为导入，并设计了如下练习。
　　Task1. Listen to the first part and answer the question？
　　What does the color green usually mean？ （Sometimes，the word “green” means young，fresh and growing. Sometimes，it describes something that is not yet ripe or finished.）
　　Task2. Listen to the following part and match column A with B
　　（1） a greenhorn a. A person with the green thumb seems to have a magic touch that makes plants grow quickly.
　　（2） to have a green thumb b. a person who is new in a job
　　（3） the Green Revolution c. the unpleasant feeling a person has when someone has something he wants
　　（4） the green –eyed monster d. the name given some years ago to the development of new kinds of rice and other grains

　　以上述的活动作为热身，既吸引学生的注意力，又增强了学生学习的趣味性，随之学生就迸发出学习更多色彩所代表的意义的激情，可谓是一次比较成功的导入。
　　2.在高中英语阅读课读后活动中的使用。同样在此文的读后环节中，使用VOA题为 American expressions based on colors的材料作为阅读补充材料，先讓学生利用早读时间反复听、读此篇材料，然后根据材料小组合作编写任务型阅读题目供其他小组练习使用。
